About the event

Join Biodiversity Collective on Wilson Mesa for an intimate evening celebrating wild mushrooms, exceptional food, and biodiversity.

Chef and Biodiversity Collective founder Graham Steinruck will prepare a five-course dinner featuring responsibly foraged wild mushrooms alongside locally grown seasonal ingredients. Drawing inspiration from the landscapes and biodiversity of the region, each course is designed to highlight the diversity, flavor, and culinary potential of fungi.

Guests will enjoy thoughtfully selected wines from Sutcliffe Vineyards, a custom fungi-inspired beer brewed exclusively for the evening, and a special screening from Mushroom Wonderland highlighting Biodiversity Collective's expeditions and biodiversity documentation projects.

Set against the backdrop of Wilson Mesa, this gathering brings together mycologists, scientists, foragers, naturalists, artists, photographers, and mushroom enthusiasts to share a memorable meal while supporting the documentation and appreciation of overlooked biodiversity.

Seating is intentionally limited to approximately 28 guests, creating an intimate dining experience with plenty of opportunity for conversation and connection.

Supporting Biodiversity

Every ticket directly supports Biodiversity Collective's work documenting overlooked biodiversity through collaborative field projects and community science.

Proceeds help support:

  • Biodiversity expeditions and field surveys

  • Specimen vouchering and DNA sequencing

  • Student participation and mentorship

  • Community science initiatives

  • Scientific collaborations with researchers, land stewards, and local experts

  • Public educational resources that make biodiversity documentation more accessible

Together, these efforts help build permanent biodiversity records, strengthen scientific collections, expand opportunities for emerging naturalists and students, and deepen our understanding of fungi and other understudied organisms.
