Harte Singer

DNA Sequencing

Harte Singer is the Sequencing Program Director for the Fungal Diversity Survey, where he leads DNA barcoding projects documenting fungal diversity across California. He is also a master’s student in the Perry Lab at California State University East Bay, studying the genomics of fungal endophytes.

His work integrates sequencing, data generation, and applied barcoding, and he also runs Dikarya LLC, an artisanal DNA barcoding company. Originally trained as a chef, his interest in fungi began with foraging and continues to inform his work today.
