Dr. Todd Osmundson

Todd Osmundson is a Professor of Biology at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse whose research focuses on fungal biodiversity, biogeography, and systematics. His work spans tropical, temperate, and alpine ecosystems, including studies across Pacific islands and multiple continents.


Using genomics and high-throughput DNA barcoding, he and his students investigate topics such as bolete diversity, invasive fungal species, fire-associated morels, and endophyte communities in island and alpine systems.
