Dr. Brian A. Perry
Mycologist
University of California East Bay
Brian A. Perry is a Professor of Biology at California State University East Bay and Director of the HAY Fungarium. His research spans fungal evolution, biogeography, and systematics, with a focus on bioluminescent fungi, island fungal communities, endophytes, and Mycena and allied genera.
He has published over 45 scientific papers and has studied fungi across the Pacific region. In addition to his research, he teaches mycology courses at Cal State East Bay and the Sierra Nevada Field Campus.
