Dr. Amy Honan
Mycologist
Oregon State University

Amy Honan is a Professor and mycologist studying fungal biodiversity, evolution, ecology, and biogeography. Her research has focused on fungal population genetics (Armillaria), the evolution of saprotrophic fungi (Tetrapyrgos), and the ecology and diversity of stalked puffballs (Tulostoma).
She is co-founder of the Crested Butte Botanic Gardens and teaches mycology and fungal ecology at Oregon State University. Her current work includes documenting fungal biodiversity and investigating heavy metal tolerance in Suillus.
